Measure the fattest part of your melon to find your helmet size using the chart above. You want your helmet to slide on with slight resistance and not fall off if you lean over with the strap unbuckled. It should not shake loose or be so tight that it gives you a headache.

Pro Tec The Bucky Helmet -translucent white

I purchased this for my 12 year old son. The measurements were spot on and fit him perfectly. The color, or lack of color, of the translucent white is very unique. This helmet is very flexible. This is good as far as comfort goes but this maybe what affects the protection ratings. The reason I gave it three stars is that there is a WARNING on the inside sticker it says that the product provides "minimal" protection against impacts and does not meet any established safety standard. I need to research more on the standards of helmets before I decide to return it. It may look cool but if it doesn't do the job as well as others then it is not worth the risk.

I get most skaters hate helmets but getting back into skating in my kids 30s with little kids (who helmets are natural to) and I want to set a good example for them and practice what I preach. The helmet fits great but had to modify it a bit. I ordered the large helmet but ordered medium padding that I put in for a snug fit. Excited to go out and shred while getting judged by “anti-helmet†wearing kids and fellow skaters. You get one head, be the example and order the helmet!
