The History of Reebok
Reebok was founded in 1958 by Joe and Jeff Foster. Their desire was to create shoes that were both fast and agile. Reebok's early success came from its innovative design of the first-ever spike-less running shoe, which quickly gained popularity among athletes around the world. The unmistakable Freestyle shoe, made specifically for women, boosted Reebok’s popularity in the 1980s while the iconic “Pump” basketball shoe furthered Reebok’s place as a major player in the athletic shoe industry.
