Sizing is mostly based on feet. If it's comfortable under your feet when riding, it's a good size for you.
When choosing a deck size, don't just think about the rider's size, but also the type of riding.
As a general rule, wider decks are good for vert riding (ramps, pools) and cruising because they're more stable. They're also good for bigger riders.
Narrower decks are good for street tricks like kickflips because they're more responsive. They're also best for smaller riders.
Deck Width: | 7.45" & Under | 7.5" - 8.0" | 8.0" - 8.25" | 8.25" & Up |
Recommended Style: | All around riding for kids 14 & under | Street & Technical tricks | Pools, Ramps, Parks, & All Around | Vert, Pools, & Cruising |

Crispy
Great size and light weight .. wicked pop for daaaayyys
Good board, but seems inconsistent
Just started skating again a few months ago (after 10 years off) because my kids are getting into skating now. I recently got two of these boards at separate times. The first board was great! It has a lot of pop, nice med-high concave, and very distinguishable nose and tail. My tricks, especially tre's and frontside flips, felt like they were magnetized to my feet. It was wonderful. The second board I got was not at all the same. Very little concave, almost flat, pop feels very weak, and the nose and tail are very hard to tell apart. Not sure if there are different presses for these boards, but I'm hesitant to order one again if it's a “luck of the draw†situation. I really liked the first board, and want to get more, but am now skeptical of the quality. The second (current) board has me feeling jaded. If there's a way to know how much concave, as well as nose/tail ratio, there is, I would be much more inclined to buy again and leave a better review!
Great decks, great price
Been skating the 8" for the last month or so and I'm really impressed! I grabbed a 7.5" as well since I like the 8" so much. I've been skating since 1999 and I've used most of the major brands. I've skated countless blanks as well and this is my favorite one I've had. Pretty mellow concave, steeper nose with a mellower kick, makes for a really great and versatile board. Great pop, holding up well to numerous hard sessions without getting soggy or chipped. I'll probably end up with more of these in the future. Love the colors available. Wouldn't mind having some stained options. Good work CCS!
great for the money
I bought this after 15 years of not skating . it finally came I'm what felt like forever lol and me and my daughter went to ride it . learned how to stand and push and turn . I hopped on and was imidiatly able to Ollie, shove it, and kickflip . I'm 31 haven't skated since high-school. im very satisfied
Same deck, half price
Stop wasting $70+ on decks and just get this or any other blank deck. Exact same thing at half the price. Good feeling nose/tail and durability compares to any other brand
