It's been 15 years since Nike SB released its first Dunks. Back then, the pro models were Dunk Lows in assorted colorways, and were released as the Nike SB “Colors By” Series. The models included the Mulder, the Supa, the Reese, and the Gino for Nike SB riders Gino Iannucci, Reese Forbes, Danny Supa, and Richard Mulder.

The Nike SB Dunk High Mulder QS Shoes are dropping as a tribute to the original Dunks and to celebrate 15 years of Nike SB. Each Dunk Low will be revisited and reimagined in a high top. For this release, Nike SB brought the original Mulder Low back to life in the form of a Dunk High.

Mulder took inspiration for his first colorway from the Nikes he skated as a kid, which were white and blue tennis shoes. The Mulder Dunk Highs feature a combination of suede and synthetic white uppers with powder blue accents on the sole, swoosh, heel overlay and pull tab, and on the tongue and insole - a combination many have taken to calling a LA Dodger Colorway.

Skateboarders knew Dunks were good skate shoes well before the release of the original Colors By Series and the launch of Nike SB - the durability, support, and grip that make them excellent for basketball made them great skate shoes, too. Today, Nike SB is releasing the same style Dunk skaters and have loved for years with a few key updates to make them even better for skating. For instance, the Nike SB Dunk High Mulder QS Shoes have an internal fit system that provides a snug fit and even more support, a reengineered outsole, and a low-profile Zoom Air unit in the sockliner for added cushion and shock absorption. The combination of the classic Nike Dunk style and Nike SB's newest skate tech are sure to make the Mulders a popular shoe with skateboarders and sneakerheads alike.
