Exclusivity is everything when it comes to sneaker fiends. One shoe sneaker fiends get particularly frothy about is Reese Forbes’ Nike SB Dunk Low Denim, released back in 2002. The uppers of the Dunk were wrapped in varying shades of blue denim and featured red logo accents on the tongue, mustache, midsole stitching and the entire outsole. At the time, they were the only blue based denim Dunks released and that coupled with their limited release (rumored to be less than 450 pairs total) give them some serious desirability among sneaker zombies. Sp17_SB_Reese_DunkElite_Hi_03 In an effort to help stave off the insatiable hunger of sneaker collector’s, Nike has designed the SB Denim Dunk High TRD Shoes. These Dunk Highs feature similar characteristics to the coveted Forbes’ model with a few key differences. The High feature a darker denim, they’re a high-top (duh), the contrast stitching pops a bit more, and a more durable, supportive construction. Sp17_SB_Reese_DunkElite_Hi_01 The upper on the Dunk High Denim features a deconstructed internal fit system for comfort and stability, the one piece cupsole uses a flexible design/pattern, a lightweight mesh is used in combination with perforations on the tongue for breathability, and the sockliner features a Zoom Air Unit. With features like that, personally, I’d want to wear them. They sound comfortable as all get, and have a unique look, but I know most of the Dunk High Denim’s we’ll sell will be relegated to sealed, temperature controlled rooms and more than likely will never see the light of day. The SB Denim Dunk High TRD Shoes go live on CCS.com Thursday February, 23 2017. SP_17_LA_River_Reese_Richard_Skating_1552_w3_HF2_COPY_xakybl
